October, 2008

Hello,
Just a quick update to let you know what I've been up to! I said in my last blog that I was kind-of in a limbo land state while I waited for my test results and follow-up treatment with Dr. Moon. I was scheduled to return to Korea in October, but received news that Dr. Moon was moving to the U.S. and opening a clinic in the Bahamas about that time. Well, things were pushed back and now it looks like he will be here in January. So, since my test results came back so great, I figured instead of waiting around for more treatment, I should get back to living!

I decided to take the opportunity and audition for the Knott's Halloween Haunt Show this year. This is a show I've done many times in the past, but I haven't auditioned for anything in the past year, and boy was I nervous! I wasn't sure if my body could handle it, but thought I'd give it a try. Well, I ended up booking the show as a singer/dancer and we opened a couple weeks ago! It is an absolute JOY to be performing again! Let me tell ya though, it has NOT been easy! I am still on chemo, and dancing 3-4 shows a night, 5 nights a week!! What was I thinking?! HAHA!
It has been a major challenge for me, but something I knew I had to take on. My mission is to "dance" the rest of the cancer out!
The show is called "Fangs" at the Charles M Shulz Theatre at Knott's Scary Farm. It runs the entire month of October, (Wed-Sun nights) and I'd love for people to check it out! I also get discount tickets, so feel free to email me if you want to come! (tryciaperry@yahoo.com)

Also, I recently have done a couple interviews that you can check out. My friend Sandra Colton just launched her new online magazine last month called Original Girl Magazine (www.originalgirlmagazine.com) I have a two-page interview (page 24-25) as well as a two-page ad on Dust Makeup (page 82-83)

And recently launched is an interview I did with Eric Galvez, fellow cancer survivor and creator of mAss Kickers!

Scroll to the bottom of the page (no need to sign in) and there is a picture of me and my featured interview!

I feel very blessed to be able to share my journey in so many different ways. I have learned to truly live each moment to the fullest and I take nothing for granted. It is a wonderful way to live and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Good jouney to all.....oh, and Happy Breast Cancer Awareness month!
