Believe what you can't see!

I finished my 3 weeks of radiation on Monday April 21st and I have to say, my pain level has drastically improved by about 80%. Just months prior, I wasn't able to sit up without using my arms or having Mike assist me. It's amazing to me that something you can't feel or see is powerful enough to penetrate through the skin, muscles and bones and shrink tumors. It strengthens my faith so much in that you can't always see or feel God or the Angels in your life, but that doesn't mean they aren't always there to guide you and heal you and protect you!

What else is around us that we can't see or feel? It makes my mind wander onto things like the pollution in the air, the ozone layer, general toxicities. Then it makes me think about what I can do do help. We can all do our part in helping our environment in our world and the world INSIDE our bodies by switching to organic, living in the moment, recycling, buying Hybrids. (I definitely want my next car to be a Hybrid!) It takes baby steps to transition and make certain changes in your life, but when you have cancer, those baby steps tend to become giant leaps! Everything matters! Every piece of food I put in my mouth I am conscious of. Any beauty product I use that penetrates through the skin, needs to be organic. Even dry cleaning establishments make a difference. There are natural dry cleaners out there....who knew?! Organic toothpaste, deodorant, face wash, paper towels, shower filters! I just found out that the water in your shower has chlorine which penetrates into the skin and could actually harm you! Shower filters! Yes...I bought one :) and our water pressure is even better without all that chlorine gunk getting in the way!

Living in Santa Monica is really helpful for me because, the community is so awakened to this. There are a surplus of natural food stores, Raw Vegan Restaurants, Farmers Markets, Natural Dry Cleaners, yoga studios, holistic healers, meditation groups, acupuncture, Reiki healing, Tai-Chi, Spiritual Centers, etc. Hey, if I'm gonna beat cancer, I'm in the right place!

I am so grateful for this awakening in my life. This week is my off week with chemo and I feel fantastic. My energy is up, my spirits are up, and I want to continue to live in this awareness for as long as possible. I've had ups and downs which is part of the reason I haven't written in awhile. I like to write when I am moved to do so and I'm in the correct mindset. Also, with the full moon this past week, I've been quite irritable! (that, combined with my meds...LORD!) Yes, even the moon has powers I found out. It affects the cells and hormones in your body, and can make some people a little wacky! It goes back to the things you can't always see or feel. The universe is ALL energy. Everything IN it is energy, including us, so why wouldn't the moon affect us? What an interesting journey this is... I'm learning new things by the moment!
