Hello again friends!

I am happy to say that we made it home safe and sound, back to the U.S. and just in time for the 4th of July! God bless America! What a wonderful feeling it is to be home! The flight was wasn't too bad either....only around 10 hours. I didn't sleep much, but I was thoroughly entertained by the plethora of movies to choose from and the interesting meals that were served. It was all in all a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend flying Korean Air. :)

Ok, so on to more interesting things. About a week prior, my chemo dose had been increased a bit (per the request of my oncologist in the states and Dr. Moon) which left me with some bothersome side effects, (shortness of breath, bone pain, etc) so Dr. Moon ordered a CT scan and bone scan before I left to make sure everything was ok. It would have normally been too early for me to get these scans otherwise because the treatment still works in your body for months afterward and I still have more injections he sent home with me. HOWEVER, I am very happy to report that as of now, there is NO cancer left in my body except for the sternum! I originally had breast cancer in the chest wall, lymph node, secrum, (tailbone) a suspicious lesion on the liver, and most in the sternum. So in 36 days, a huge portion of it is gone!! Whooooooooooop!!! I will need to return in about 3 months for some follow-up treatment, but for the rest of the summer I have been advised to relax and enjoy life with my new husband!

I have never been so happy!! I feel like I've been reborn and I have been given a new appreciation for life and everything in it! I have learned so much about myself through all of this...I am finally understanding what it means to truly live in the moment; in the awareness, love fully and deeply, and live in constant gratitude. And it feels so natural! It is not something I have to try to be...I just AM and it's incredible!

Speaking of incredible, let me just talk about the "Golf for TLC" Fundraiser that took place the day we were on the plane coming home. My dad put together a golf event at Pacific Country Club in San Clemente, and was able to raise almost $8000.00!! I was in shock when he told us! My dad met us at the airport, told us the news and gave me a stack of checks to put in the foundation account!! I mean, I knew I had to go back to Korea to get my follow-up treatment in 3 months, but had NO idea how I would afford it. Miraculously, the minute I step off the plane the answer is revealed! I am seriously in gratitude overload. Some people donated that didn't even play, and most donated OVER the amount it cost to play! One person even outbid another on an auction item, won the item and gave it to the other person who he outbid! Thank you, thank you for everyone who took part in this event...you are angels in golfcarts!

So there's my update...could it get any better?! I am so looking forward to a fantastic 4th of July with Mike and friends, and just relaxing and getting back to my wonderful life! Just what the doctor ordered. If I don't send another update for awhile, its because I am taking the summer off ....unless more amazing things happen. In that case, I'm sure I will be writing again next week...ha!

Love and Gratitude to all,
Trycia
